The Sun's Yearning, better known by its colloquial name the Rapunzel Flower. Its true name references an old isle myth which portrays the sun and the moon as bondmates. Separated by the cycle of day and night, but never becoming forgotten—their love is everlasting, yet excruciating. Normally, it droops much like a teardrop, with the flowerbud's tightly wound petals contributing to this appearance. Vines flow from its centre onto the bedrock, hence "Rapunzel" with her long hair. However, when moonlight shines directly upon it a change occurs: the flower blooms and the vines defy gravity, reaching for the night sky. The sun longing for their faraway lover, the moon.

Besides moonlight, it also needs salted water to thrive. It was previously thought that tears were required for optimal results, but any water with added salt will do. If you notice the vines becoming brittle and transparent in places, almost crystallised, that means the water to salt ratio is off. Reduce the salt as soon as possible since any vine loss could potentially result in the death of the plant. Provide cover for it while it is healing to avoid strain. This flower does not do well on its own and should be planted alongside inkwigs or other suns' yearning.

Azha discovered this plant on the coastline of the Southern Forest and it is what established him as a renowned botanist. The true name was not his idea.
