Constellation: Harpa / Wanderer’s Harp
Shape: Talharpa (bowed harp)
What it means?: Charon’s symbol. He played this instrument to his bondmate in life and as a guardian plays it to the lost souls who need to return home- there is no myth or story attached to the guardian himself as Charon isn’t known to mortals all that well. Appearing dreams as an imaginary figure and never as his fully guardian form to most he is more well noted at the realm of the remembered. It’s a big part of him still even if he isn’t seen with it often. The constellation is a link to their job and joy of bowed instruments.

There is stronger Association to Mitra at the coast of the southern forest. The Cervabloom being the only living relic to know Charon. In a sense most guides and seekers would see the harp and think back to tales of an ancient cervabloom too stubborn to die trailing along the coast. local tales of playing bowed harps at night making the supposed Cervabloom draw near you. If you ever feel brave enough to summon them bring a bowed harp at night and draw the stars towards you in song and rhythm.

A little known fact is Charon isn’t even aware of the constellation being made in honor of him. Rumors of his own “followers” (Spirits) pulled the stars to make it just for him. Others think his family made it for him before returning to the earth. He enjoys it fondly remembering his time playing in his nursery but doesn’t pick it up often. The guardian himself plays it very few in truth. Maybe if you visit at the right time you may hear the melody. Be mindful he gets shy of crowds but would play you a tune if requested
