Submission (#440) Approved

A poem for Mabel, of her first time exploring beyond her cave. Who knew the world would be so kind, so patient as she grew the confidence to explore? c:

“Song echos through and bounces in my cave,
Are you that hidden melody outside?
Your kindness shines through your shapeless form,
I needn’t have my sight to know of your warmth.
Is the world outside just as welcoming?
Temptation piles, bringing with it shivers.
Why should I deny curiosity?
What stops me from exploring and thriving?
Life will not wait for you to make a choice.
Nor does opportunity show its face.
All you can do is take a step forward,
Trust that melody to guide you along,
To realize you need not have your sight,
To meet kindness awaiting you outside.”

(Sorry I couldn’t upload anything else beyond the poem, was working on the valentines!! >:D I’ll definitely try again after today though with the second run around!!)
