Comes with a little story tidbit, since I don't know if it comes across well in the image. This one is a little sadder, less focused on holiday cheer.
She was a sorry sight, that girl.
She might have looked fine, her body shining and catching the sun, her clothes clean and well cared for, but in her face... it was hollow. The girls face was pale, the only colour being the bags under her eyes, her face drawn into a frown even in her sleep.
That girl was here almost everyday, sitting next to a grave as she tried not to cry. Sometimes she would whisper and talk to the grave, sometimes she would sit in silence.
Amai had seen many people come through her burial grounds as she tended to the stones, people missing strangers, partners, friends- *family.* Amai knew what that was like, losing family. She knew what that girl had lost.
Flowers, a basket of food (That girl needed a bit of joy), and a blanket around her shoulders to stave off the winter chill. It wasn't much, but Amai could only hope it managed to make the loss a little easier as she tended to the headstone.
