Wahhhhh! After a lot of hard work, our 2021-2022 yearbook is out! We thank our mod hedwig for creating such a golden masterpiece, filled with 64 pages of fun <3 If you have time please do take a read over this gorgeously designed yearbook, you may even find some... funky golden boxes... if you do see one, please click for some goodies!

SLABSTONKS HAVE GONE OUT OF HAND!

In order to save the market, all basic items from Toro and Selene's shop and Don Rocko's shop now have decreased resale value. Items that already only cost 1 currency and are meant to be resold for currency (synthetic potion, pets, etc) will not be affected by this new update.

Furthermore, Bond essence items from the Cervabloom temple can now be resold (for bond essence)! Their resale value will still be lower than the original purchase value though, so please take note of that.

This rule was implemented to decrease the possibility of slabs taking advantage of resale values to nab other items for less, thus creating a crazy resell culture which we do not want. Items bought in stores, save for some selct ones, are not really meant to be resold in the first place.

Starting from now, all future adopt batches (save for gachas), will have an implemented 1 week resell/trade cooldown. This rule was a long time coming, and we hope this will decrease the number of impulse buys. Gachas are exempt from this rule due to the swap centers that come up right after, as well as gifting. You will be allowed to gift a design as soon as you purchase it, so long as it is not an exchange of goods.

Our winter event this year will be, again, different than past events! We want to try an art/writing/design/gift exchanged based event! It will be a secret santa of sorts, so keep an eye out for updates! The event is scheduled to start on December 1st (and potentially earlier), where wishing signups will begin.

November is usually a break month for staff and GA as we prepare for Winter events and batches! Thus, there will be no sale this month.

Our prompts have updated! Please head over to the prompts page to view them all! A few of them have already been up for a few days, thanks to our wondrous prompt maker salem. Two new prompts were added today, the main monthly prompt and a pobble garden prompt!

The main prompt will be the November 2022 Monthly prompt.

November is a break month, and we will have no events. However, the winter event will come December, and will be an community-based art/writing/design exchange! We have yet to try something like this for GnS, and are excited to try. Keep an eye out for any mid November announcements for more info, and if not, the evnt will most likely start beginning of December to give people a full month to complete their parts.

We will also be bringing back our large scale gacha for winter! The theme has been chosen, and we might be looking for new GAs, so please keep your eyes peeled for that as well.

Our monthly batch theme is Film Noir Muder Mystery! Furthermore, we'll be having 2 solo GA batches thos month, so many spooky designs are coming your way!

The exact number depends, but it will be listed in the prompt description. However, repeat submissions of the same thing will not be accepted. Each submission must still be unique.

The first few weeks of October will be chill, but we will be bringing back some good old Halloween scavenger hunts!

Have you guys talked to the NPCs yet? It seems there's some whisperings of a big Halloween Party happening later on this month...

Yet who is this mysterious host of the invitations? And how come a lot of people haven't even heard about it? Will you be brave (or foolish) enough to set foot into a supposed grand mysterious mansion in the middle of the woods for a so called "Best Halloween Party Ever"?

Rewards may include (but are not limited to) some new funky dumplings, and some strange outfits...? Stay tuned!

Usually there will be an event so people have a chance to earn feathers for free, but due to lack of time (and September being a generally chill month), I have not prepared a full blown event! However, I will hopefully make up for this by several mini events that will happen!

1. Ref Sheet Pebbling, slabster, leafree and cervabloom will be up for raffle on discord in the upcoming days (one by one, of course) 2. Ref sheet baby Seeker + Guide will be also be raffled on discord for free with the rule that if won, you must draw them both a full ref before they are officially inducted into the masterlist.

3. Mini events will pop up around the site and discord, mainly probably small trivia/activities and maybe scavenger hunts that will give a chance at feathers. These events will be announced sporadically throughout the month, on discord mainly, so keep an eye out!

Legendary Cervabloom and Baraboa have been released!!

Well... Don Rocko has suspiciously acquired a bunch of new magical items. Um... how? Aren't Legendaries only available in the Legendary realm? Umm... why are they in egg form? None of this makes any sense, but the gold slabster flashes you his perfectly white, shiny teeth and beckons you to purchase the new wares.

Legendary Cervabloom and Baraboa are now permanently available for purchase in Don Rocko's Emporium!

Legendary critter MYOs will also be featured in a MYO sale at the end of this month, and ocasionally there will be premade designs out in batches! WE HAVE A REF SHEET AUCTION STARTING TOMORROW FOR THE REF SHEET LEGENDARIES TOO, so if you're interested go follow studiomaz on deviantart, as they will be holding the auction.

This month is our anniversary month!!! Our wonderful fantastic mod hedwig has begun to organize another yearbook for the year! This is such a lovely tradition that I want to push and continue. Unlike last year, the yearbook this year will be addressed to the community, and focus on all the fun memories we've made together!

To help her out, ALL MONTHLY PROMPTS will be directly related to filling out the yearbook form.

You can use these prompts to submit your yearbook entries and gain additional rewards. However, you do not need to create anything new to fill out the above form, nor do you have to fill out every section. The prompts serve as additional incentive!

Our main announcement this month will be a Legendary update and slight revamp! Please read below for a list of changes and what’s to come.

❥ August 13: There will be a new legendary map drop, as our original custom temple concept is too difficult to maintain well. However, a temple design would still be needed on the legendary ref sheet moving forward (rule only applies to legendaries moving forward and not past legendaries, however if you would like to edit your legendary ref sheet with a temple - either new or old, please submit a design update and you will be granted a rock dumpling as a gift)

❥ August 13: Legendary Cervabloom and Baraboa will be released! Stay tuned for that!

❥ Seasonal traits on legendaries can be achieved if a seasonal potion/tonic is applied. However if you want all their forms to be seasonal, you have to apply a critter potion to each.

Something’s going on near the Forgotten Isle, perhaps the NPCs have something to say about it? Maybe you will find some neat, golden treasure too! 

To "talk" to the NPCs, go to their character page and click on description. Their dialogue will be hidden under toggle spoiler. Have fun!!!

This change has already been implemented for a while, but it has yet to be fully reflected on the ref sheet yet. It has now.

❥ There will be no more baraboa “experience” leveling system, that part of the lore is outdated and weird. Baraboa now age normally, and have a lifespan similar to cervabloom (~600 years old). You can buy trinkets o advance a babyboa to an adult! 

❥ Babyboas can now be Guardian or Cursed. Baraboa can also be both guardian and cursed. 

❥ Users can create baby Baraboa as long as they own a guide or seeker. However designs still need to be approved by orva via dms before being added to the masterlist.

What’s this? Just the wind? It seems the wind has been picking up lately... a hint of what’s to come... September might just be one feathery month, so don’t get swept away!

Happy July everyone! Take this month to relax in the cool lagoons of the Serpent's Bluff! It sure is a beautiful and warm month.

There will be no MYO sales or planned adopt sales this month,

(It is orvaslab's personal month off to catch up on stuff she owes Don Rocko! Yes, even orvaslab is indebted to the golden slab... I wonder which slab isn't).

However, there may be some surprise design sales coming in from GAs throughout the month, so keep your eyes and fingerpads peeled for such announcements, mainly via our discord!

This month, the prompt will be heavily writing focused, as we know a lot of you have your drawing hands full with art fight! There will be a variety of different prompts you can choose to do too, and we hope you have tons of fun with them!

The summer box hunt will come back soon! There are no new monthly pets this month, as we got the new event pets <3

The main prompt will be the July 2022 Monthly prompt.

This month, all guide and seek art produced, regardless of whether they depict a bonded pair or not, can be submitted for bond essence (at a rate of 1 character per essence). Art that others draw of your characters can be submitted, as this is the point of art fight <3

Please keep in mind:  

❥ Bond essence can only be given if the characters depicted are yours. Who drew them does not matter.  

❥ Group pictures with characters owned by multiple people can be submitted multiple times so everyone gets the bond essences.

❥ For this month only, the bond essence submission's default prize will be 1 bond essence (instead of the usual 2). You CAN choose to edit addons for more bond essence when you submit.

Next month marks our second anniversary month (wow, how time flies QAQ) There will most definitely be something awesome in the works!

Hello guys! Welcome to the mid-summer update! We hope you've been having a fantastic start of summer. 

As you know, this summer the Serpent's Bluff is holding a treasure hunt event! Before you head off, why not talk to some of our NPCs to see what they know about the event? It may help you prepare, and who know? Maybe you'll even find some hidden goodies!

We have some exciting new additions to our item list! 

Thanks to crypticcockroach and asurasleeping for designing these cuties for last month's prompt. I hope everyone enjoys them as much as we do!

Last but definitely not least, thanks to a few absolutely lovely artists who agreed to help, we are holding a Guide and Seek Pride Gacha! The date is still to be determined, but it'll happen mid June. It will be a FCFS gacha, and there will be a 48 hour preview to make up for the lack exact date. The exact time the batch will open will be announced when the preview is posted, so please stay tuned!
In light of current events, we will be donating to the Rainbow Railroad!

Hello everyone! After some discussion, we have decided it is time to overhaul some earlier dumplings so their effects are more in line with the effects of others. Below are the current list of dumplings that have received a “buff”. Feel free to go back and update a design if you’ve used a dumpling listed!

The bolded sections mark the changes!

1. Vine dumpling

Feeding this dumpling to a Guide will give it vine-like growths on their leafy parts. It is a flowering trait! Feeding it to a Seeker will give it vine-like growths on the exterior of their bodies. The vines have the ability to grow longer and move. Guides and Seekers will be able to summon vines too as a special ability.

2. Bunny Dumpling

Feeding this dumpling to your Guide or Seeker will grant it fuzzy, real rabbit ears as well as a little rabbit tail.

3. Suspicious Red Dumpling

Feeding this dumpling to a Seeker will turn the water inside it into a suspicious red substance! The Seeker will also be able to summon a suspicious red liquid around them at will. Optionally, the Seeker’s exterior material can be made of Pyura chilensis, with an outer layer of coral but an inner layer of soft velvet red material. Feeding it to a Guide will have no effect.

4. Anemone Dumpling

If fed to a guide or seeker, grants them sea anemone tentacle hair! They can also move on their own and feel around. The tentacles can also sting if needed.

5. Scarred Dumpling

Feeding this dumpling to a Guide will give them multiple scars all over the body and wings. The scars can permeate the skin and expose the glowing interior of the guide. However, scars have to look natural and not in any specific pattern. Feeding this to a Seeker will have no effect.

6. Octobaby Dumpling

Feeding it to a Guide or Seeker will grant them tentacle-like growths on any part of their body except for their wings/tail/crown for guide, and face and hands for Seeker.

7. Ghost Dumpling

Feeding this dumpling to a Guide will cause their hair to glow and "float" in a ghost-like manner, as well as turning their wings semi-transparent. Feeding this to a Seeker will make their entire body, interior included, semi transparent.
